Determination of green and red spinach microgreen chlorophyll content using visible spectroscopy and wavelength selection

Abstract Microgreens are quickly-grown greens that suitable for urban areas. The accumulation of chlorophyll in plants is essential both nutritional compounds and the microgreen’s attractive appearance. A plant factory a controlled-environment cultivation method employs LEDs to enhance photosynthesis, vegetative development, seed germination, accumulation. This work used VIS-NIR quantitative determination content green red spinach microgreens grown under four different LED light intensities with ratios, 100% blue, red, white LED, 67%:20%:13% red:blue: as artificial grow 12 hours illumination. performance MSC, AN, SNV, smoothing, first second Savitzky-Golay’s derivatives (SGD) were examined.
